Canadian soprano Emily Dorn began perfoming professionally at the age of eleven as the main singer in Cirque du Soleil's touring production of 'Quidam'. She studied Voice Performance at McGill University and Mannes College before embarking on her operatic career. She has since performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and major opera houses in Europe, including the Semperoper Dresden, where she was a member of their Ensemble for six years. She currently performs with the Landestheater Detmold and makes exciting role debuts as Contessa Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro, Hanna Glawari in Die Lustige Witwe, and The Governess in The Turn of the Screw.
