Emily Dorn

Canadian soprano Emily Dorn began perfoming professionally at the age of eleven as the main singer in Cirque du Soleil's touring production of 'Quidam'. She studied Voice Performance at McGill University and Mannes College before embarking on her operatic career. She has since  performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and major opera houses all over the world, including the Semperoper Dresden, Seattle Opera and the Landestheater Detmold where she is currently an Ensemble member. In July 2024 Emily and her partner welcomed their first child. She is on maternity leave until March 2025 when we will return to the Landestheater Detmold and the roles of Iduna (Das Feuerwerk) and Mary (Die Herzogin von Chicago).
